Sigur Rós


Sigur Rós  is an Icelandic post-rock band with melodic, classical, and minimalist elements. The band is known for its ethereal sound, and frontman Jónsi Birgisson's falsetto vocals and use of bowed guitar. In January 2010, the band announced that they will be on hiatus until further notice in order to pursue solo careers and to spend time with their families.

    They were in Belgium once, on Rock Werchter. I did not know them before, but I liked them afterwards! great band

    Say what you like about Sigur Ros and I do have a lot to say, good and bad, but their compositional dynamics are great for the studio albums (and really well produced and all), but live they don't work at all.

    The band are just fine live but there's ALWAYS ONE AYYYYY-HOLE in the crowd who wupps and hollers during the quiet bits.

    I would never go to a Sigur Ros concert because I would leave a freaking murderer.
